So, who are you Lina Nguyen…
…and why should I listen to you?
If that’s what you’re thinking, then, fair enough.
Who am I? Well, for starters, I’m a lawyer. I gained my Australian lawyer’s qualification in 2001 and have been working in the legal profession ever since then. Why do I have a blog about copywriting, marketing and stuff like that? Well, I’m also a copywriter.
I know you’re thinking, “Gee, that’s different!” Well, the two professions aren’t as different as you might think at first.
For starters, one of the things I love most about being a lawyer is that I get to write – a lot! As a lawyer, I write to persuade – to get someone to make a decision, agree to my line of thinking or understand where I’m coming from.

I guess you get my drift.
I’ll never be a novelist, poet or playwright. But I love persuasive writing and I’m lucky that it happens to be a valuable skill out there in the marketplace. Especially when it comes to internet marketing.
Apart from that, I happened to study double degrees in Marketing and in Law. So, it makes perfect sense to me that I work in both these areas now! It’s also because I need a lot of variety in my life. Working in two professions suits me just fine.
I’ve also learnt from some great copywriters, internet marketers and entrepreneurs – both in Australia and the US. Fantastic people who have taught me so much. I’m more than happy to share what I’ve learnt. In fact, I don’t think it would be fair to keep it all to myself!
By the way, I am actually more than just what I do for a living. You’ll get to know more about me as you read my blogs – this one and others – if you’re interested.
